Welcome to the Alan B. Miller Entrepreneurship Center
We are so excited to welcome you as a member of the Center! An entrepreneurial movement is underway at W&M thanks to students like you. As a member of the Center, you have access to many events and resources and we hope you will join us in accelerating entrepreneurship at W&M.
Below are some of the events we have to offer throughout the year.
StartupLINK - A partnership between the Alan B. Miller Entrepreneurship Center, Launchpad Incubator, Thomas Nelson, and James City County. StartupLINK is the region's monthly entrepreneurial networking event where participants will hear the startup journeys of regional entrepreneurs, connect with potential collaborators, and learn about tools and resources to help accelerate their ideas.
Rocket Pitch Fridays - If you've spotted a business opportunity or identified a problem worth solving and have an idea you'd like to take to the next level, come by the Entrepreneurship Center on Fridays at 1pm to pitch it in front of a panel of judges for a chance to win $100.
Friday Co-Working Hours - Come to the Entrepreneurship Center on Fridays between 2pm and 5pm to work on your entrepreneurial endeavor and collaborate with others. Whether you're just getting started or you've been at it a while, the Center can help you make progress.
Alumni Founder Series - As part of this series, you will hear from a William & Mary alumni about their journey from the halls of W&M to the eventual creation of their startup.
Tribe Tank - Do you have an entrepreneurial idea and want to see if you have what it takes to succeed? Participate in the third annual Tribe Tank business pitch contest to test your mettle on the big stage. Cash prizes will be given out to winners!
Catapult - Looking for an immersive startup experience? Look no further! The Alan B. Miller Entrepreneurship Center presents Catapult, a weekend startup event. Participants break into teams, formulate and fine-tune startup ideas, and work towards a final pitch to professional judges. Teams receive guidance from mentors and executive partners.
We would also like to share a few of the many resources you now have access to as a member of the Center!
Miller Center 3041 - Our space in Miller Hall is sweet! It is specifically designed to be a flexible and open co-working space to help you bring your ideas to life. As a member, you’ll have extended access to the Center.
Student Venture Funds - Our Student Venture Funds are a catalyst to help students move beyond the idea stage.
Startup Tree - Startup Tree is the world's leading platform for entrepreneurial students and alumni at colleges, to support and provide you with even greater resources to succeed.
