This week at Rocket Pitch we were visited by a class of Physics students looking to pitch some of their ideas. Our winner, Campbell Scheuerman wants to explore the application of RFID technology in making keyless entry not just for cars. Imagine never having to tap, turn, or swipe your keys to get into a building again — the door just recognizes you based on electromagnetic waves, connects to your card, and you’re in!

What’s next? Some more research on how far technology like this can go in the real world… And what can you do to help? Information! Where can this technology be applied?

Looking forward to more visits from our friends in the Physics department (and all across campus)!
